Dress Code

Dress Code at Dunblane New Golf Club

Dunblane New Golf Club is proud of its warm, friendly atmosphere and rich connection to the traditions of the game. Golf has a long and distinguished history, and part of that heritage is reflected in the way players present themselves on and off the course.

While we embrace a modern and welcoming approach, we kindly ask that all Members, Guests, and Visitors respect the spirit of the game by dressing appropriately during their time at the club.

On the Course:
Golf attire should be smart, neat, and designed for the game. Our dress code isn’t overly strict, but it honours the longstanding values of golf. The following items are not permitted on the course:

  • Football or rugby-style shirts and shorts
  • Vest-style or sleeveless tops
  • Tracksuits or jogging bottoms
  • Denim jeans
  • Trainers or casual shoes
  • Tailored shorts are acceptable and should be worn with sports socks.

In the Clubhouse:
We welcome smart casual dress as a minimum. Clean and presentable denim jeans and trainers are permitted inside the clubhouse, provided they are in good condition and appropriate for a social environment.

We appreciate your cooperation in helping us maintain a respectful and enjoyable atmosphere that reflects both the heritage of the game and the inclusive spirit of Dunblane New Golf Club.
